Ayat Hafalan 25-31 Ags08
Ibrani 1:1-3
(1) Iman adalah dasar dari segala sesuatu yang kita harapkan dan bukti dari segala sesuatu yang tidak kita lihat.
(1) NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
(2) Sebab oleh imanlah telah diberikan kesaksian kepada nenek moyang kita.
(2) For by [faith--trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report.
(3) Karena iman kita mengerti, bahwa alam semesta telah dijadikan oleh firman Allah, sehingga apa yang kita lihat telah terjadi dari apa yang tidak dapat kita lihat.
(3) By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.
Iman tanpa perbuatan pada hakekatnya adalah mati (Yak 2:14-26)
Yakobus 14:26
(26) Sebab seperti tubuh tanpa roh adalah mati, demikian jugalah iman tanpa perbuatan-perbuatan adalah mati.
(26) For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead.
